Landscape full of colors and contrasts
The longest alpine valley in Tyrol unfolds its summer splendor to guests over 67 kilometers between the Ötztal motorway exit and the valley's end, home to the largest glacier region in the Eastern Alps. The eight Ötztal villages of Haiming, Sautens, Oetz, Umhausen, Längenfeld, Sölden, Vent, and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl each possess their unique charm, appearing sporty and chic, cosmopolitan or rustic, tranquil and dreamy.
The Stuibenfall cascades 159 meters into the depths at Umhausen. Fresh summer vibes can be felt while walking along the waterfall path or climbing the via ferrata, featuring foam and show effects on the torrent platforms. Adventurous white-water enthusiasts can experience the full drama of wild mountain waters on the Ötztaler Ache, in the Imster Gorge, or on the Inn – engaging in trending sports like rafting, canyoning, kayaking, or canoeing.
The healing power of water is showcased at the “Aqua Dome,” the spa in Längenfeld, featuring wellness and adventure pools for the whole family. For simply swimming or fishing, visit the Piburger See near Oetz, a true natural gem and one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol.
